I’ve said it a few times today, but I’m extremely proud to have been involved in today’s wedding.
There are a few reasons for this; one is that every wedding is a special thing and being asked to record it is a privilege, another is that in my opinion one of the best celebrants in Melbourne recommended us to photograph her own daughter’s wedding, and last-but-not-least is that while politicians argue about whether same-sex couples deserve the right to marry, and on the day of a Queensland election which has put homophobia into prime-time ads, Kate and Amanda quietly committed their lives to each other in front of their closest family and friends, and as I’m sure everybody else there would agree, it was beautiful.
Thanks to Kate, Amanda, Lucy, Cindy, Erin, Michelle, Anna, Emma, Nick, Chris and Darren (if I’ve mis-spelt anybody, please remember I’m typing this at 1:30am!) for a fun photo-shoot around the grounds of the Goona Warra Vineyard too – I’m sure I’ll have the Sunbury song stuck in my head for days…
Here’s a sneak-peek of some of my favourite shots from today. If you’d like to see more when the rest are ready, just ‘like’ our facebook page or keep an eye on this blog.
Goodnight everyone..
