We first met the already-engaged Cindy when she was a bridesmaid at Kate and Amanda’s wedding 18 months ago. We must have done something right because at the reception later that night she declared that Iain would take her wedding photos and then told us all about the incredible Cape Schanck property where their wedding would be held. Cindy was right to rave about the location, put simply, it is gorgeous, much like the bride!
Looking like they had just stepped onto the set of a Hollywood movie, the chauffeured guests gathered by the infinity pool before the ceremony was held in front of the impressive manor. Cindy and Tom had barely signed the register before waiters leapt into action serving chic canapes and drinks – cocktail in a jam jar anyone? After strolling around the grounds for some photos, it was off to a huge stone hanger for more food and dancing. And since everyone was being bussed back to their accommodation, there was no excuse not to party!
While the location remained a constant, there were a few changes to Cindy’s original wedding plans, thanks to the arrival of gorgeous little baby Ashlen. Cindy’s pregnancy was the beginning of a baby boom for the bridal party with five bridesmaids getting pregnant (two have now had their babies). It made for an interesting reception with 10 pregnant guests … not that we were brave enough to guess them all!
Thanks Cindy and Tom for including us in your special day and providing such a beautiful backdrop for your photos. Ashlen is a very lucky girl to have such fantastic parents.
